The Seattle Star is a Neutron Bomb

“Look deeply at the big picture beyond revenge to compassion /  We are broken or someday will be, but still beautiful, broken / Kintsugi, it all depends on we put the pieces back together.” ~ from “These boys, These Men” by Rayn Roberts

The Seattle Star returns for its soon-to-be-less-irregular celebration of local poetry and music and the Creative Commons. Featured poets include Yonnas Getahun, Art Gomez, Pam Carter, Rayn Roberts, and more. In addition to our traditional open mic, and our Exquisite Corpse and Orphan Works events, this time around we will also have RENGAMANIA, in which anyone who wants may participate by creating spontaneous haiku at the table, to be read dramatically by our Exquisite Corpse players.

Join The Seattle Star for our second ALL-AGES Creative Commons Literary & Music Celebration at St. Andrews Bar & Grill! This celebration of the Creative Commons and sharing culture includes an open mic session, poetry readings, poetry REMIXr games, and more! Enjoy music and poetry by Kevin O’Conner, Samanthe Sheffer, Art Gomez, Lauri Watkins, Rayn Roberts, Kymberlee della Luce and more! Take an opportunity to meet and network with creative Seattle people in this celebration of the Commons.

Can you afford to miss this? We think not.

Admission is FREE, and all-ages! Come one, come all!

Open it up! Contribute your art! Share your knowledge! Celebrate with us! Eat, drink, read, listen, mix it up. All are welcome!
